    Job Title: Purchasing Assistant

    Job Overview:

    As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to the purchasing department and ensuring the timely and accurate procurement of goods and services needed for the organization. You will work closely with the purchasing team and other departments to manage purchase orders, track deliveries, maintain vendor relationships, and maintain inventory records.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the procurement of goods and services for the organization, including preparing purchase orders, obtaining quotes, and negotiating prices with vendors.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that stock levels are sufficient to meet the organization's needs.
    • Monitor and track deliveries of goods and services to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
    • Work closely with other departments to ensure that purchasing needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Communicate with vendors to resolve any issues that may arise, including pricing discrepancies, damaged goods, and late deliveries.
    • Assist in the development of procurement policies and procedures to ensure that purchasing activities are conducted in a transparent and ethical manner.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the purchasing manager or other department heads.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
    • 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role preferred.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures, including purchasing regulations and vendor management best practices.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
