What are we looking for?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team for the current position of Career Trainer who specializes in developing and delivering employment trainings and coaching services. This individual will offer professional learning opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities that enable them to gain life skills and real-work experience while becoming fully integrated into their community.

The essential duties include but are not limited to:

Provide work readiness skills training and technology courses designed to prepare participants to join the workforce

Facilitate the full inclusion of interns to partake in work-based employment opportunities in accordance to their preferences and desires.

Imparts knowledge to participants through hands-on experiences using real-world materials, supplies, and technology.

Provides employment trainings in community settings that promote feelings of contentment, enjoyment, confidence, and engagement with the world

Transport participants in agency passenger vans to designated locations (may include participant's homes)

Must be available to work the hours of Monday-Friday 7am-3pm

Qualifications

Must have the ability to walk/stand for long periods of time indoor/outdoor in all environments

Have basic computer skills

Own a Smartphone

Be at least 25 years of age

Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent (AA degree or higher preferred)

Speak, read, and write well in English

Have strong problem-solving skills

Have a minimum of one year of verifiable experience providing instructional and training services to individuals with development and intellectual disabilities or have worked in classroom settings

Have a valid First Aid/CPR Certification or the ability to obtain upon hiring

Be able to pass an employment screening process

Have a valid Driver's License and state minimum car insurance

Must have a Clean Driving Record

Be able to pass TB test and health screening
