    Job Summary

    The Career and Financial Stability Coach supports NAZ participants in achieving financial stability and career growth. This role provides one-on-one coaching and group instruction on budgeting, credit building, financial and career goal setting, and homeownership education. The coach also assists with job placement, retention, and career advancement. This position works closely with NAZ staff and community partners to connect individuals to resources that support long-term economic success.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide one-on-one coaching to participants on career planning, job readiness, and financial literacy.
    • Assist clients in developing individualized employment and financial action plans.
    • Assist NAZ participants with resume writing, interviewing, budgeting, and credit building.
    • Collaborate with local employers, training providers, and community partners to increase program awareness
    • Maintain timely and accurate data entry and reporting
    • Represent PPL at community events and outreach activities as needed.
    • Support PPL work and mission by accepting assignments for special projects, committees, etc.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience providing career services, financial coaching, or coordinating community-based services for families.
    • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background check
    • Must be able to attend some evening and weekend commitments for PPL events and workshop facilitation
    • Obtain HUD Housing Counseling Certification within 90 days of employment.
    • Strong knowledge of community programs and resources.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Suite - Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • BA/BS/AA degree in Human Services, Finance, Business, Social Work, Sociology, or a related field required.
    • Experience facilitating or training in workshops related to home buying, financial education, career readiness, or additional topics related to employment and/or financial empowerment to individuals from diverse cultural, economic, and social backgrounds strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge of North Minneapolis and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with NAZ participants.

    Hours

    Full time, 40 hours per week, Non-exempt

    Pay

    $23-$25/ per hour
