    Our client, a prominent player in the material handling industry specializing in forklifts and industrial vehicles, is seeking a driven and experienced Outside Sales Representative to manage the Portland Metro Territory.

    This role is ideal for someone with a hunter mentality, ready to represent 2-3 leading manufacturers in the market. You’ll be at the forefront of driving sales for both new and used equipment, as well as rentals, utilizing your expertise and passion for the industry to expand the company’s reach and client base.

    Machinery Outside Sales Job Responsibilities

    Drive sales within the Portland Metro Territory, focusing on new and used forklifts and industrial vehicles, as well as rental services.

    Represent 2-3 manufacturers, becoming an expert on their products and effectively communicating their value to potential clients.

    Develop and implement strategic sales plans to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.

    Proactively seek new business opportunities, demonstrating a hunter mentality with persistence and determination.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and offering solutions that align with their goals.

    Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

    Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term loyalty.

    Qualifications

    Proven experience in sales, specifically with forklifts or related industrial vehicles and material handling equipment.

    Strong hunter mentality, with a track record of actively seeking and securing new business opportunities.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade various stakeholders.

    Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving company growth.

    Knowledgeable about the material handling industry and equipment, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

    Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Must be located in or willing to frequently travel within the Portland Metro Territory.
