    Our client, a leading distributor of industrial supplies ranging from abrasives, sealants, paints, and coatings to lubes, cutting tools, and electric/electrical components, is seeking a proactive and dynamic Customer Support Representative.

    In this multifaceted role, you’ll be the backbone of the sales team, managing inventory sourcing, key account communications, QA documentation, and customer support operations. You’ll immerse yourself in learning the company’s product lines, customer profiles, presentation modes, and policies, using this knowledge to drive sales and support divisional goals.

    Customer Support Representative Job Responsibilities

    Provide comprehensive support to the sales team by managing inventory purchasing and sourcing.

    Handle key account communications and maintain high standards of customer support.

    Manage and organize QA documentation and ensure compliance with company standards.

    Learn and understand the company’s product lines, customers, and presentation methods thoroughly.

    Make sales calls to both establish new business and grow existing accounts, both inside and outside.

    Assist will-call customers at the branch, offering knowledgeable support and service.

    Manage on-site inventory at customer locations and process orders efficiently and accurately.

    Support and contribute to the achievement of divisional sales goals through proactive customer engagement and sales activities.

    Be open and willing to take on different roles within the company as opportunities for promotion arise.

    Qualifications

    Degree preferred, not required

    Demonstrable sales aptitude or experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

    Industrial aptitude, comfortable working in a white-collar role within a blue-collar environment.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a variety of customers and team members.

    Flexibility and willingness to relocate as needed to support the company’s growth and personal career development.

    A proactive and dynamic approach, ready to learn and take on various responsibilities within the company.
