Our client, a prominent provider of HVAC services and solutions, is seeking a skilled Estimator / Project Manager to join their team. This role is critical in managing various HVAC projects, including plan spec, private, and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC estimating and sales, with a proven track record of generating backlog.

This position offers the opportunity to engage in business development through a robust network and requires a comprehensive understanding of local codes, specifications, and permitting processes.

HVAC Estimator Job Responsibilities

Engage in HVAC estimating, sales, and backlog generation.

Manage HVAC projects across plan spec, private, and commercial sectors.

Bid and sell HVAC projects through various channels.

Drive business development through a strong professional network.

Seek and bid on HVAC projects in the private sector, plan spec, and design-build sectors.

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of local codes, specifications, and permitting processes.

Prepare bids and proposals, including detailed estimating.

Develop customer and sustainability-centric HVAC solutions and systems.

Conduct HVAC load calculations to determine heating and cooling needs.

Determine budget costs for systems and prepare detailed bids and estimates.

Coordinate and collaborate with architects and engineers in designing heating and cooling systems.

Ensure adherence to all building codes and obtain necessary building permits.

Manage safety and environmental policies and standards in project design and execution.

Manage bids and proposals, collaborating with team members to develop optimal solutions.

Develop and maintain a CRM system for effective project management.

Qualifications

HVAC, refrigeration, piping, sheet metal, or relevant trade qualification.

A minimum of 5 years of related HVAC or mechanical experience.

Valid Washington State driver’s license with a good driving record.

Equivalent combination of education and experience in the field.

Strong commercial HVAC project experience.

Ability to develop and implement efficient HVAC solutions.

Proficiency in performing HVAC load calculations and budget estimation.

Excellent project management skills.
