    Our client’s company is a leading provider in the trucking industry, specializing in the service, repair, and preparation of rail, flatbed, box, and tank trucks. With a commitment to excellence and a “one-stop shop” approach for all things related to tank trucks, they are now looking to expand their skilled team.

    They are in search of a dedicated Trailer Service Technician who will bring technical ability, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude to perform a range of repairs, services, and maintenance work. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standard of service that our client’s company is known for, and it offers a significant opportunity for growth and advancement within the company.

    Service Technician Job Responsibilities

    Perform repairs, services, and basic maintenance on various types of trucks including rail, flatbed, box, and tank trucks.

    Engage in light and basic mechanical maintenance along with some major rebuilds.

    Install additional components such as pumps, blowers, compressors, and hydraulic systems.

    Participate in welding tasks as required.

    Ensure all services and repairs meet the highest quality standards.

    Work closely with a team of ten technicians to serve a diverse range of customers.

    Provide exceptional customer service, contributing to the company’s strong reputation in the industry.

    Qualifications

    Mechanical experience, with a focus on motors, generators/pumps, and preferably welding.

    Ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical, or various systems on a trailer.

    Experience with air brake systems and repairs.

    Proficiency in TIG aluminum, stainless, or carbon welding.

    Capable of efficiently inspecting tanks and trailers to comply with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).

    3-5 years of experience in tank/trailer repair is ideal.

    Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and attention to detail.

    Potential for promotion, indicating a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
