The ultimate goal of this role is to reduce support cases and drive product adoption and client retention. You will be responsible for managing and updating the content in our client knowledge base which includes writing for new feature releases and optimizing existing content based on data insights and client feedback. You will also manage our internal knowledge base around the product and assist our client-facing teams in creating scalable written content (e.g. saved replies to common questions).
Who are you?You are above all a strong writer who values iterating, welcomes feedback, and enjoys uninterrupted focus time. This is primarily an executor role with growth potential to take on more ownership and strategic influence of our client communications. Ideally, you will have worked in one or two technical/professional writing roles previously with an understanding of best practices. Bonus points for working in a SaaS company and on a small team.
Responsibilities:
Manage our client knowledge base:
Create documentation on upcoming feature releases
Create help center articles, internal wiki articles, and occasional video tutorials
Maintain a database of help article updates
Evaluate help center metrics and iterate on existing content
Maintain our internal wiki with up-to-date product knowledge
Write, test, and manage in-app product communication including running A/B tests to drive impactful product engagement
Create content based on data surfaced by support inquires to address client concerns and confusion
Special writing projects as needed
Qualifications:
Excellent writer and copyeditor
Preferred: Previous experience (1-3 years) in a technical/professional writing position
Ability to translate technical material for a non-technical audience
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Comfortable working on a fully remote team

As of March 2020, our Austin-based team has been working fully remotely. We have transitioned to a Remote First company forever and this role may be filled by either an Austin resident or as a fully remote role for any U.S.-based candidate. We currently have employees in Texas, California, Massachusetts, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, West Virginia. Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Oregon, and Hawaii!Compensation: This role pays $55,000 base salary with an additional $5,000 annual bonus (paid out quarterly based on company revenue and team goal attainment) for a total on-target compensation of $60,000.
