Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers / CNAs to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, home health, hospice, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient well-being, safety, and dignity. Experience in senior care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
Duties
Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations to ensure health status is maintained
Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
Support patients with memory care needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing specialized care techniques
Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively, including heavy lifting when required
Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation procedures
Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or clients to promote mental well-being
Follow all safety protocols related to CPR, first aid, infection control, and HIPAA compliance
Requirements
Valid CNA certification or relevant caregiving experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings
Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs is preferred
Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as needed for resident transfers or mobility assistance
CPR and First Aid certification required; ongoing training preferred
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and independently when necessary
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents or patients
Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information
Prior experience in home health, hospice care, social work, or long-term care environments is advantageous
