Bloomer I & II - VitaCare Living in Bloomer, WI, is seeking a dedicated CNA or Care Specialist to join our compassionate team of caregivers. We pride ourselves on creating a warm and supportive environment where every team member is valued. You will be responsible for assisting residents with ADLs, cooking, cleaning, activities, medication administration, etc. Join us in making a difference in the lives of those we serve. We are currently hiring for AM and PM shifts. Our Bloomer location is hiring for all shifts, full-time, part-time, weekend warrior, and casual positions. CNAs ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY AND ARE PAID A CNA WAGE. MUST BE RELIABLE! CBRF Certified is a plus! Stop in for an application today! Responsibilities: As a Care Specialist/CNA, your duties will include, but are not limited to:Administer Medications: Dispense medications as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN), maintaining an annual error rate of no more than one mistake • Resident Response: Attend to any and all resident call lights within 10 minutes to ensure responsive and attentive care • Light Housekeeping: Perform regular light housekeeping in resident rooms at least once weekly to promote a clean and comfortable living space • Keep each room up to high standards of sanitization by changing bedpans and sheets, and performing regular room cleaning • Service Charting: Accurately document all services provided without missing tasks, ensuring compliance with company standards • Assistance with ADLs: Support residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) according to each individual’s Client Service Plan, with a zero-tolerance policy for missed tasks • Give patient support with basic care, daily living activities, bathing, getting dressed, going to the restroom, eating regular meals, and taking proper medication dosages • Activities: Encourage and initiate activities to enhance residents' mental and physical health and promote socialization • Implement care plans as directed by the case manager, and keep updated and accurate care records • Execute basic medical tasks such as replacing bandages and dressings, taking vital signs, measuring glucose and ketone levels, and ensuring the proper use of medical devices • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including but not limited to bed making, laundry, vacuuming, etc. • Help patients accomplish personal care tasks like scheduling appointments, calling doctors’ offices, and coordinating Medicare and other insurance details • Sustain quality companionship and provide psychological and emotional support for patients and their family members Additional qualities we look for in our employees include: • A compassionate, kind, and empathetic personality is essential, with superb organization and communication skills • Ability to work every other weekend • CBRF Certifications or willingness to obtain them during employment • Current CNA license • Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs, you may also be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed • High school diploma or GED is required - some college preferred Qualifications: Our best candidates will possess and align with our company's attributes:Extreme Ownership: 1-3-1, Own the Mission – takes control of outcomes, removes obstacles to success, no excuses • Resourcefulness: FITFO – finds ways to achieve results despite a lack of resources, able to self-educate • Big Why: Who are you here for? – The driving force behind your career is the passionate care for vulnerable adults • Growth: 1% Better – has habits that lead to small improvements in self and team every day • Humility: WHAT is right, not WHO is right – puts ego aside, accepts criticism, to find the best solution in all situations • Reliability: Show up – able to be trusted when needed • Gratitude: Look for the good – intentionally looks for, thinks about, and talks about the good in any situation Compensation: $16 - $21 hourly
