Job Description:

Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is now hiring Caregivers, Home Health Aides (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Personal Care Aides (PCA), Direct Support Professionals (DSP), and Home Care Assistants to provide high-quality, non-medical, in-home care to seniors and adults in St. John, IN and nearby communities.

Responsibilities:

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)

Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing)

Meal preparation and feeding assistance

Light housekeeping and laundry

Medication reminders

Companionship and emotional support

Transportation and errands (if applicable)

Support clients with mobility and transfers

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Minimum 1 year caregiving experience preferred (Caregiver, CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP, or similar role)

CNA or HHA certification is a plus

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

Ability to pass National background check

CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)

Must be dependable, professional, and compassionate
