Position Summary:
The Caregiver Lead is responsible for supervising, supporting, and guiding the caregiving team to ensure exceptional client care and service delivery. This role serves as a bridge between field caregivers and office staff, providing leadership, mentorship, and direct care when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and guidance to caregiving staff in the field.
Ensure caregivers follow individualized care plans and adhere to agency policies.
Conduct routine quality assurance visits to client homes.
Train new caregivers and assist with onboarding.
Support scheduling by helping cover shifts or reorganizing staff as needed.
Report client or caregiver concerns to office management promptly.
Model professionalism, compassion, and quality care at all times.
Maintain accurate documentation and assist with incident reporting.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (required)
CNA, HHA, or related certification (preferred)
At least 2 years of caregiving experience
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in home care (preferred)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment:
In-home care settings across client locations
Flexible schedule, including some evening or weekend shifts
Physical activity required, including lifting and mobility assistance
