    Overview

    We are seeking Caregivers to join the team at Comfort Keepers. This role is vital in promoting the well-being, safety, and independence of those in our care. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others and possess a strong understanding of patient-centered care practices.

    Duties

    Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support

    Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition or behavior, documenting findings accurately

    Administer medications and manage care plans in accordance with healthcare protocols and HIPAA regulations

    Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary

    Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, or vital signs monitors safely and effectively

    Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation procedures

    Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients, fostering a positive environment

    Support with specialized care needs including dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, autism spectrum disorders, or hospice care

    Follow prescribed care plans meticulously while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations

    Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to deliver comprehensive patient care

    Qualifications

    Prior experience in home health, long-term care, assisted living, or group home settings preferred

    Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and medication reminder procedures

    Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, dementia, or end of life care is highly desirable

    Ability to use specialized equipment such as a Hoyer lifts when necessary

    Strong observational skills for patient safety and condition monitoring

    Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

    Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and dignified care

    Valid driver’s license, a dependable vehicle and clean driving record is required for this position.
