Job Summary
As a caregiver, you will provide essential non-medical assistance to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity. The role of a caregiver includes companionship, personal care support, assistance with daily living activities, and light housekeeping. Area of work opportunities covers Richland and Lexington Counties
Responsibilities
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Assist with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal care and mobility.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
Maintain client safety and report changes in condition.
Observe infection control and follow care plan protocols.
Provide transportation for appointments and activities.
Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
Remind clients to take medication.
Clock in/out and document all tasks.
Qualifications
Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or a related field.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, proof of insurance (if required for client transport)
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
State required training (SCDPH 60-122 Section 300) preferred but can be completed with the One you Love Homecare
Be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with client and supervisor
Be capable of following a care services plan and maintain accurate records of care provided and client's daily activities with minimal supervision
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
Ability to pass drug screening and criminal background check
Must pass tuberculosis (TB) screening or have a valid screening within past 12 months
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
Ability to assist clients with mobility and physical transfers.
Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
