DEVELOPMENTAL PEDIATRICIAN OPPORTUNITY
CARILION CLINIC, ROANOKE VIRGINIA – NOT FOR PROFIT ENTERPRISE HEALTH SYSTEM
Carilion Children’s in Roanoke, Virginia is searching for a Developmental Pediatrician to join their Child Development Clinic. The clinic has a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team that includes Clinical Psychologists, Social Worker, Pediatric Nurses, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational and Physical Therapists, plus Education Specialists. The Child Development Clinic is devoted to serving the needs of NICU graduates and older children with neurodevelopmental needs including cerebral palsy, autism and developmental delays.
Carilion Children’s serves as the tertiary referral center for Southwest Virginia, a population of over 1.25 million. Their hospital-based services includes a 60-bed NICU/intermediate nursery, an 8-bed PICU, and 24-bed inpatient ward.
Inpatient care includes general pediatrics, cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, neonatology, pediatric surgery, hematology/oncology, critical care, hospitalist, and gastroenterology. Carilion Children’s outpatient services include neurology, genetics, cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonary, allergy, dental, orthopedics, surgery and ENT.
Roanoke is a city of more than 275,000, surrounded by the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains in western Virginia. A beautiful 22k-acre lake is just a short drive from town. Opportunity for teaching students and residents exists, plus research and publication of papers available through The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Fralin Biomedical Research Institute, but is not required. Qualifications
Applicants must be ABMS-BC in Pediatrics and fellowship trained in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities or in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. Review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled
