ASSOCIATE TEST ENGINEER
POSITION SUMMARY:
Carl Zeiss X-ray Microscopy - a leading developer of 3D X-ray computed tomography solutions for imaging micro and nanoscale structures in research and industry, is looking for a talented entry level Test Engineer to integrate, align and test complex opto-mechanical instruments. Along with system testing, there is the certification of critical components through the incoming inspection process. Experience in the alignment of optical systems, aligning and testing robotic positioning systems and troubleshooting of these systems is desirable. Also, experience in test procedure development, root cause analysis and tool qualification is desirable. This is a highly visible position requiring confidence and excellent communication skills.
The Associate Test Engineer Lvl 1 (ATE 1) is responsible for performing all integration and final test procedures on Carl Zeiss X-ray computed tomography products. With some assistance, this individual will debug and correct all functional problems during integration and final test allowing the system to meet factory and the customer requirements. The ATE 1 will also participate in the incoming inspection process, qualifying critical components selected for incoming testing. They will be required to assist other team members to document, analyze and interpret tests for systems, products or critical components along with implementing any internal quality directives. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to the weather conditions prevalent at the time. Also the employee will be exposed to the conditions in the production area and test areas. The noise level in the work area is usually moderate to extreme.
Must be available for OT and weekend work as required in addition to minimum 40 hr./wk
