Associate Product Manager
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Product Manager will be supporting Business Sectors Marketing in the efforts of leading global business planning, product development and lifecycle management of a product updates/upgrades or larger program with the goal of achieving Business Sector strategic objectives and planned revenue and profit targets. The Associate Product Manager is expected to support the activities surrounding the product, including annual strategy updates, product development planning and implementation, product positioning and lifecycle management issues. The Associate Product Manager supports the customer satisfaction for the assigned product.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Associate Product Manager may either lead a small product or partner with a more senior product managers to:
· Support the development of the long-term product strategy to achieve business sector goals. .Work closely with R&D Program Manager and technical staff to shepherd the product enhancement/new product development process. Provide marketing deliverables to product development process.
· Support global launch for new products, next generation products, and product enhancements including:.
o Product, pricing, distribution and positioning strategy for assigned products
o Develop content for launch messaging, sales training materials, promotional campaign and point of sale collateral materials.
· Support the monitoring of performance trends: Gather market data from all sales organizations and customers worldwide, propose sales targets
· Participate in defining and specifying new products including business plan, marketing plan, launch plan, etc.
· Represent the customer in the project team.
· Transfer information in form of launch plans, marketing, positioning to FoB market development team.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Undergraduate degree, preferably in, marketing, or business administration
· Two (2) years’ marketing or sales, preferably at a medical device company
· Experience and knowledge of ophthalmic photography, and the retina market is a plus
· Excellent oral presentation and written communications skills.
· Experienced knowledge of spreadsheet financial analysis, word processing and presentation software.
· Good analytical skills and ability to manage and work cross-functionally
