POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the CEO is to carry out the strategic plans and policies of Carlsbad Educational Foundation (CEF), as established by the Board of Directors. CEF focuses on district-wide grant-making in the areas of hands-on science, music and educational innovation while operating four distinct lines of mission-related businesses in the local community. To achieve this objective, the CEO must embrace and model CEF’s vision and mission with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for community outreach and fundraising.

This position will oversee the administration, programs, strategic plan, marketing, fundraising, and financial health of CEF through a team of qualified employees. Therefore, the CEO must possess a high level of broad business and management skills and be effective at generating resources and financial support for the organization.
