Overview:
The primary role of the Production Planner/Scheduler is to oversees master schedules for production and new products, ensuring comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing, and incorporate in forecasts and master production schedules.
Duties:
- Executes manufacturing Purchase Orders for critical product work centers.
- Incorporate new products or product improvements into the manufacturing forecasts and master production schedules.
- Executes master production schedules relative to shelf life, inventory guidelines and requirements.
- Provide analyses and judgement while assessing options. Expectation of concise communication to highlight issues and solutions with supporting data.
- Determines material requirements and creates production execution schedules and maintains inventory at planned levels.
- Develop and facilitate proposals, to support organizing and conducting relevant, concise, data driven, recommendations.
- Works to resolve and avoid material shortages on key production lines, minimizing downtime by ensuring work orders are available and material staged.
- Manage finished goods inventory to meet agreed-upon customer service requirements.
- Minimize inventory write-offs of finished goods inventory, intermediates and raw materials.
Requirements:
- Candidate should have experience in Microsoft Office products, strong computer skills, and QuickBooks
- Minimum of 3 years previous planning and scheduling experience
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- APICS Certification a plus.
