CFD Modeling Engineering Intern Tracking Code 890-132 Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Help in supporting design of CFD models of water and wastewater treatment components and conveyance infrastructure Analyze model prediction to provide solutions and recommend design options Perform elementary engineering assignments and work from the designs of others Data entry and analysis Work under close supervision Receive specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and results expected Perform special projects and assignments as directed Required Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong interest in water or wastewater process Knowledge of numerical modeling and methods Experience with CFD modeling software packages (Ansys products, OpenFOAM, Star-CCM+, Flow-3D, or similar) #LI-DNP Required Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Currently pursuing bachelors or masters degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering field Finishing or completed junior year of college Preferred Experience Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering Passed or scheduled to take the FE/EIT exam Familiarity with computer applications including AutoCAD, Microstation and ArcGIS All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, marital status, sex, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, status as a disabled veteran or veteran of the Vietnam era.
