    The Workday HRIS MANAGER is responsible for the management and administration of the MiTek’s Human Capital Management system. The Manager serves as a technical point of contact for configuration, maintenance, security, user training, system upgrades, implementation of additional functionalities, patches, testing and other technical projects as needed. The System Manager executes strategies for integration of HRIS system; oversees the HRIS Team; recommends and develops best practices for workflow utilizing available system functionalities. This position works cross-functionally, globally and with other departments including Accounting and Finance, technical consultants/vendors to automate and/or improve processes and eliminate inefficiencies.

     

    Required Skills

    SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage 4 HRIS Analysts and one HR Help Desk Administrator
    • Manage and support the design, development and administration of the Workday HRIS System and related software tools and interfaces.
    • Design, plan, and execute strategies for integration of Workday and plan end-user training and support.
    • Lead and develop the HRIS staff, including the HRIS Help Desk Administrator and HRIS Analyst team.
    • Recommend and develop best practices for workflow utilizing available system functionalities.
    • Provide set-up and configuration of security roles, tables, workflow, and business rules
    • Participate in HCM implementation and rolling out of new modules (time and attendance, talent management, Workday Recruiting, DuPont LMS etc.). Design and document business requirements, perform system/integration testing and user acceptance testing, and deliver training to end users.
    • Implement new functionalities as provided by vendors via upgrades, patches and releases, including managing related testing. Manage vendor updates, patches, releases and remain current on functional enhancements.
    • Evaluate the Workday functionality and system requirements for MiTek on a global basis to ensure MiTek business needs are being met, including all compliance requirements.
    • Aggressively work on and plan for full implementation of Workday globally, including the decommissioning of other legacy HRIS Systems in Europe, Africa, APAC and Vietnam
    • Provide expertise and recommendations for building reports and manipulating data using Business Intelligence software.  Provide training and guidance to system end users. Oversee creation and/or updating of training and process documentation.
    • Oversee HR technology utilization to drive business strategies across the organization.
    • Manage technical configuration of other systems that integrate with Workday such as DuPont LMS, SilkRoad and third party Payroll Vendors, ERP Systems and IT Systems.
    • Design, implement and deliver effective reporting solutions to HR Business Partners and Business Leaders.  Build a fully functional advanced reporting capability in the HRIS Team
    • Oversee development of standardized troubleshooting methodologies that consistently result in the timely resolution of system issues.
    • Participate in and lead cross-functional teams to provide and implement effective solutions.
    • Develop and maintain business relationships with current and potential vendor partners; identify and assist in determining new technology solutions to support business needs.

    Required Experience

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Five years' HRIS experience interfacing with large ERP required

    • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience required
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Workday Technical HRIS Analyst strongly preferred
    • Knowledge of LMS software/deployment, Applicant Tracking and Performance Management, maintenance capabilities and processes
    • Knowledge of the Company's business processes
    • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and project management skills

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Four-year college degree minimum.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a global HRIS system & global implementation of a fully functional Workday HRIS System is strongly preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience in a business environment; professional services firm experience preferred.
    • Experience leading a team through all phases of an HRIS implementation
