FUNCTION:
Performs diversified maintenance activities including minor installations, adjustments, repair, etc.
NATURE AND BACKGROUND OF POSITION:
Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing and electrical. Must be a high school graduate, or equivalent, with an understanding of advanced shop math. Must be able to read and understand complicated written instructions. Should have at least 10 years experience in maintenance activitiesor specialized training/certificate/license in one or more maintenance disciplines such as electrical, electronics, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing/pipe fitting, carpentry, hydraulics, etc.
Required Skills
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
- Install, move, build, rebuild and repair all types of machines and other equipment
- Use extreme care in accurate alignment, leveling, anchoring, balancing, etc.
- Diagnose and remedy mechanical problems
- Build specialized equipment as needed
- Perform sheet metal and pipe work as needed
- Perform all activities with appropriate safety precautions in place
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Perform maintenance service and repairs in the areas of electrical, machine servicing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, hydraulics, and plumbing
- Perform diversified maintenance activities including minor installations, adjustments, repairs, etc.
- Help move heavy equipment as needed
- Perform routine maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs and/or fixtures, etc.
Required Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred 10 years experience in maintenance
- Must be capable of utilizing advanced shop math and be able to read complicated written instructions
