Through access to continuous monitoring and predictive scoring, insurers gain deeper insight into risks in real-time which can significantly enhance many aspects of the insurance life cycle including underwriting, claims, and book assessment.

    Carpe Data is located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. All Carpe Data employees are currently working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic with plans to continue to do so until around July 2021. This role will be recruited virtually and this position will start remote until our office reopens safely. Candidates must be located in Santa Barbara or willing to relocate to Santa Barbara once our office reopens.

    What You Will Do As the Customer Success Analyst, you will communicate directly with external customers about their data (transfer methods, data quality, trends, and improvements). This role touches every file that comes in the door and you will be expected to apply project management practices to the pipeline by working with the customer teams to understand timelines and customer expectations. You will also act as the bridge between our customer teams and product/tech by transforming requests from customer language to technical requirements. Additionally, the CSA will receive ad hoc submissions from the customer teams requesting insights to help drive cross-sell and up-sell opportunities. The CSA will be tasked with implementing customer integrations and processes, while outlining recommendations that will lead to better customer experiences and more efficient processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Kickoff file processing each day by reviewing files for any needed cleaning or standardization and proactively identify and triage any issues beforehand.
    • Project manage the queue of customer deliverables by partnering with Product Delivery and all customer teams.
    • Be the subject matter expert for customers to contact for implementation, integration, and file issues.
    • Own the technical onboarding process and maintain company profiles (configs, SSO, users, etc) for all customers.
    • Analyze data trends and transform a mountain of data into meaningful results with little direction; be creative!
    • Assist with triaging and diagnosing issues with file transfers, data quality, reporting metrics and dashboard statistics.
    • Act as the liaison to internal product and technical teams to ensure an optimal customer experience and delivery of solutions that exceed customer expectations.
    • Create and maintain reporting queries in a centralized repository for other team members to utilize.
    • Evaluate and critique customer files and our results to discover new trends and identify areas of improvement, for both the customer and Carpe Data.

    Skills and Experience for Success in This Role

    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in business, mathematics, or computer science
    • 2-4 years experience in a business analyst role or account management function
    • Knowledge of statistics and proficient using technologies like SQL and Excel for querying and analyzing datasets
    • Ability to setup and maintain file transfer methods and integrations including but not limited to SFTP and APIs
