The Opportunity We’re adding a 2nd year apprentice to work directly under one of our lead journeyman carpenters. This isn’t a “show up and sweep” apprenticeship. You’ll be in the middle of high-end residential renovations and custom builds, learning from someone who takes their craft seriously and will push you to level up. What We’re Looking For • Registered 2nd or 3rd year carpentry apprentice in Alberta • Attitude and work ethic that match your skill — this matters more than anything • Someone who asks questions, takes correction well, and shows up ready to work • Valid driver’s license and your own basic tools • Steel-toed boots and a willingness to maintain a clean, professional job site Responsibilities: • Execute tasks as directed by the Lead Journeyman, including framing, finishing, rough carpentry, and demolition • Attend daily on-site meetings prepared and engaged, with a clear understanding of the day's goals and priorities • Maintain a clean, organized work area at all times — before, during, and at the end of every shift • Double-check your own work proactively to prevent deficiencies before they become problems • Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, and trade partners on-site at all times • Log daily hours and updates accurately in Buildertrend, our project management platform • Ensure tools are prepared, maintained, and stored correctly in the Promark trailer or van at the end of each day • Report any tool damage, site issues, or safety concerns to the Lead Journeyman or Project Manager immediately • Represent Promark Construction professionally on site, in uniform, at all times Qualifications: • Currently registered as a 2nd or 3rd Year Carpentry Apprentice in Alberta • Valid Alberta driver's license and reliable personal vehicle — required • Own basic tools, including: tool belt, hammer, tape measure, carpenter's pencil, speed square, utility knife, multi-driver, drill, circular saw, and reciprocating saw • Personal PPE — Steel-toed boots with shank and heel, Safety Glass, respirator • Strong attitude and work ethic — this matters more to us than technical skill level alone • Ability to take direction, accept correction, and ask good questions without ego • Comfortable working in a fast-paced renovation environment where plans can shift day to day • Committed to maintaining a clean, professional job site consistent with Promark's standards • Punctual and reliable — we run a tight ship, and clients count on it • Previous experience in residential renovation or custom home projects is an asset Compensation: $25 - $28 hourly
