    Nelson Builders is seeking a highly skilled remodeling lead carpenter. Our company has a reputation for excellence in remodeling homes and building additions. Specialties include kitchens, bathrooms, additions, & basements, along with a variety of other residential projects in the greater Holland area. Remodeling is the hardest sector of the construction industry. It requires two main things: People Skills & Technical Skills. On the People Skills side: We put a high priority on delivering proactive communication, managing clients’ expectations, and giving them a remarkable remodeling experience. On the Technical Skills side: We are excellent at what we do, and we aim to deliver a high-end and exceptional finished project. Responsibilities: • Read blueprints and sketches to fully grasp the requirements • Ensure roofing, floorings, and drywall are compatible and level • Oversee trade partners working on the job site • Complete jobs on time and within budget • Personally produce exceptional carpentry work that exceeds industry standards, including assembling cabinetry, installing trim, hanging siding, and occasional framing • Put a priority on having 100% safety standards on all job sites Qualifications: • Excellent physical condition and dexterity • In-depth knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques • Strong measuring and math skills required • High school diploma or GED preferred • Valid driver’s license required • Carpentry experience required • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve effectively Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly
