    Carpenter & Handyman – Holloman AFB Housing Denco, Inc. is hiring an experienced Carpenter/Handyman for our long-term housing maintenance contract at Holloman Air Force Base. You'll be part of a skilled crew handling repairs, remodeling, and upkeep across military residential housing — steady, meaningful work with no slow seasons. We need a true multi-trade craftsman who can operate across carpentry, finish work, painting, and basic electrical with minimal supervision. A federal background check is required for base access — if you can't meet that standard, please do not apply. Responsibilities: • Perform maintenance, repair, and remodeling on residential housing units at Holloman AFB per work order specifications • Execute finish carpentry, including door/window installation, trim, and interior millwork • Perform interior painting, texture matching, and drywall repair to professional standards • Complete minor electrical work, including fixture replacement, switch/outlet repairs, and basic wiring • Accurately document completed work and communicate materials needs to the project lead • Maintain a clean, safe job site and uphold quality standards required on a federal housing contract Qualifications: • 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential remodeling and construction — multi-trade, not general labor • Demonstrated skills across carpentry, painting, finish work, and basic electrical • Must pass a federal background check — required for Holloman AFB site access (non-negotiable) • Must be local to Las Cruces or Alamogordo, NM • Valid New Mexico driver's license with a clean record • Ability to manage a work order queue independently and deliver consistent, inspectable quality Compensation: $33,280 - $45,760 yearly
