Responsibilities: What You'll Do Build custom porches, decks, pergolas, and outdoor structures from the ground up Read and work from architectural drawings and project plans Maintain high craftsmanship standards on every job Frame, build, and finish custom porches, decks, pergolas, and outdoor living structures on high-end residential projects Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specs accurately Measure, cut, and install lumber, trim, decking, railings, and structural components to exact specifications Work efficiently on-site with minimal supervision while coordinating with project managers and lead carpenters Identify and communicate any issues, material needs, or plan discrepancies before they become problems Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe throughout each phase of the project Handle tools and equipment with care and report any maintenance needs promptly Represent The Porch Company professionally when on client properties Qualifications: What We're Looking For 3–7 years of residential carpentry experience (outdoor structures a plus) Strong framing, finish, and trim skills Reliable, shows up on time, takes ownership of your work Valid driver's license Ability to work outdoors year-round in Nashville weather 3–7 years of hands-on carpentry experience, preferably in residential construction or outdoor structures Proficiency in framing, decking, trim, and finish carpentry Ability to read and work from blueprints and architectural drawings Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and standard carpentry equipment safely and accurately Strong attention to detail — you notice when something is off, and you fix it Reliable and punctual — our crews and clients count on you to show up and follow through Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors year-round and perform physical tasks including lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and working at heights Team player who communicates clearly with project managers and fellow crew members Bonus Points Experience with high-end residential or outdoor living projects Familiarity with composite decking OSHA 10 certification Compensation: $18 - $27 hourly
