    Northland Landscape & Construction Inc. is a family based company that has been in business for over 25 years. We have the reputation and we have the work, and now we are looking to add a carpenter/landscaper to come join our team! Our focus is on residential construction building quality decks, additions, remodels, and garages. We also do some landscaping in the summer which is part of the job. We would love prior experience, but don't expect it and are willing to teach. Our jobs are primarily in residential settings, with locations in the N/NE suburbs (White Bear Lake, Lino Lakes, Forest Lake, Ham Lake) of the Twin Cities.

    The position is full time, year-round. We still keep on building throughout the winter. Pay depends on experience. Pay is weekly with direct deposit available. Up to a week PTO during the first year. Medical, dental and vision are offered after waiting period has been met, as well as a 401k plan after a year of employment. Work hours are Monday-Friday typically from 7 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. with weekends off. OT available depending on work load.

    Responsibilities:

    Measure materials or distances, using square, measuring tape, or rule to lay out work

    Review blueprints and diagrams to determine dimensions of structure or form to be constructed

    Install and repair structures or fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim or doors, etc. according to specifications for the job

    Must have knowledge of the proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction

    Uses hand tools such as hammers, levels, squares, plump bobs, screw drivers, adjustable wrenches, hand and power saws, drill motors and pry bars, electric and pneumatic tools

    Inspect and provide minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment

    Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules

    Maintain job trailer organization and site cleanliness

    Performs other duties as required

    Knowledge and Skills:

    Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include methods, techniques, materials, tools used in carpentry installation, maintenance, and repair; and safety practices and procedures

    Be a reliable contributor by showing up on scheduled days on time

    Communicate well with job site team and owners

    Qualifications:

    Must have prior experience in the field

    Have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation

    Be able to life at least 75-100 lbs

    Pass applicable pre-employment screenings (including but not limited to drug test & physical)

    Must be familiar with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and OSHA safety rules and regulations

    Must be authorized to work in the US

    Maintain professional appearance
