    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

    CZ is one of the largest law firms in the State of California exclusively dedicated to the representation of injured people. We are seeking an experienced law and motion attorney who demonstrates a strong knowledge of motions, pleadings, and can support the trial teams with legal research and strategy. The ideal associate will have superb legal research and analysis skills; as well as experience drafting discovery, pleadings, and a variety of motions for litigation at the local and federal level.  

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • At least 2 years of litigation experience (Personal Injury litigation experience is highly preferred);
    • Should be comfortable handling all aspects of litigation drafting, from pre-litigation filings and discovery to mediations, arbitrations, and jury trial motions;
    • Should have experience in drafting motions to compel and oppositions related thereto, oppositions to motion for summary judgement, motions in limine and oppositions related thereto;
    • Should have experience drafting complaints ranging from basic MVA to complex premises, bad faith and the like; and
    • Must be currently licensed to practice in California

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    As we are a growing firm, this position operates in a highly fast-paced office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

    TRAVEL:

    This position requires travel to court for hearings and meeting with clients.
