    Martin Horn Inc., a leading construction company, is seeking a Carpenter's Assistant to join our team. You will play a crucial role in supporting our skilled carpenters on various construction projects.     Responsibilities

    • Assist carpenters by holding and securing lumber during the building process, ensuring it is level or plumb during installation.
    • Help with building forms for pouring concrete.
    • Prepare work areas by transporting necessary tools and equipment from storage facilities.
    • Load and unload building materials for construction projects.
    • Build and disassemble scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures used on construction sites.
    • Remove debris and potential hazards to keep construction sites clean and safe.
    • Dig trenches and holes required for construction projects.
    • Maintain and service machines as needed.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors, foremen, and carpenters.
    • Basic knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures.
    • Ability to perform basic math.
    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Physically able to perform assigned tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for prolonged periods.
