Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 15 Carrier Sales Representatives and team-leads, ensuring success in revenue growth and operational execution.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive consistency and efficiency across the team.
- Train and coach CSRs on carrier pricing, availability, negotiation tactics, industry knowledge, and problem-solving strategies.
- Lead the development of new carrier lanes and networks, building strategic inroads from scratch and guiding the team through execution and scaling.
- Monitor performance by reviewing, updating, and communicating KPI metrics, providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company expectations in all documentation and database entries.
- Assist the team in high-priority situations, such as hot loads and service failures, providing hands-on support when needed.
- Partner with Human Resources on hiring, onboarding, corrective actions, and annual performance evaluations.
- Provide regular reports to leadership on challenges, successes, and process improvements.
- Ensure the team is appropriately staffed and manage scheduling to maintain full operational coverage.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed between assigned offices.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a 3PL/4PL environment, with a proven track record in leading and motivating a team.
- 3+ years of LTL experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Office, Teams, and industry-specific software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead effectively in a high-energy environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
