** Carrier Sourcing Representative** - Responsible for sourcing top-capacity partners, negotiating effectively, and ensuring smooth, reliable freight movement. If you excel at building relationships, closing deals, negotiating, and managing carriers, this role is built for you.
Responsibilities
- Develop an overall business strategy to build a pipeline of qualified partner carriers
- Source a network of carriers based on Account Management needs, with the expectation of developing contracted capacity
- Continually review your pipeline’s capacity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Provide and negotiate freight rates with carriers to improve margins.
- Manage the carrier pipeline to ensure accurate levels of service
- Utilize data-driven resources to make informed decisions
- Collaborate internally with teams on pricing strategies and account implementation plans
- Resolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism
- Actively procure new carriers based on volume and lane density
- Maintain strong market knowledge of shipping lanes, geography, and seasonality
- Meet and exceed KPIs and goals as set by department leadership
- Review and verify your TMS profile for data integrity for both existing and new carriers
- Support other departments as necessary, utilizing your carrier pipeline
