    JOB TITLE: Shipping & Receiving Clerk

    DEPARTMENT: Accounting

    Reports to: Purchasing Manager

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

    Processes all in and outbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, packing and shipping.

    Audits each shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match order and are in compliance with inter-state requirements.

    Packs and labels product based on established standards.

    Prepares shipping and receiving documentation; maintains orderly files for all documentation.

    Processes all receiving transactions and paperwork.

    Inspects all incoming freight for damage.

    Assists in maintaining material inventory levels.

    Assist in responses to requests for tracing of missing shipments.

    Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.

    Assists with inventory management including but not limited to wine transfers, spot checks of month end inventory and other tasks as assigned by manager.

    Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE/QULIFICATIONS: One to two years related experience or equivalent. Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Learns quickly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Courteous and friendly manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively in a fast paced environment with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable. Clean DMV record.
