Summary of Position:
The possition is responsible for assisting the wholesale administration, sales, and warehouse operations for the company. This position helps promote all product lines to meet and/or exceed the sales goals. This position is assisting with the managing of inventory, orders, deliveries, and accounting are also key responsibilities for this position.
Responsibilities:
Utilize sales data to analyze performance of existing wholesale accounts to improve sales
Monitor competitor activities and market trends to find new account opportunities
Identify and convert new account opportunities for the business, finding ways to improve and develop sales numbers
Assist with creating, implementing, and executing tailored sales campaigns, promotions, and plans for key accounts to help business grow and meet sales goals
Promote and sell product to meet and/or exceed sales goals
Meet with clients to manage sale agreement through to final delivery
Develops and maintains strong, positive relationships with clients
Submit detailed weekly and monthly sales reports, presenting to director of sales.
Assist in establishing market-specific goals and annual objectives for business
Work closely with winery team to help identify sources of new business opportunities
Educates and trains clients and prospective accounts on available and new products, expanding brand awareness
Professionally represent South Coast Cellars with clients at events, as required
Coordinate off-site events to promote products
Displays product at retail level, checks back stock in retail cages and assists customers with orders
Resolves onsite customer complaints
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Must have 3+ years of previous experience in a sales and/or distribution with a proven track record of exceeding goals, prior alcoholic beverage sales experience is preferred
Must have basic knowledge of a warehouse operation
Must have versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Must have a valid driver’s license
Strong analytical and reasoning skills, including financial data
Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to excellence and high standards
Excellent organization and coordination skills to meet daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
