    South Coast Winery Resort & Spa is seeking an experience Chief Engineer to lead our Maintenance Staff. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience in a full service resort environment.

    Essential duties include:

    · Maintains property including but not limited to guest rooms, public areas, and equipment through development and implementation of preventive maintenance program; ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specifications.

    · Manages resort’s physical operations including but not limited to refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, laundry machines, swimming pools, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatments, and electric systems.

    · Interfaces with appropriate hotel staff/managers to receive information regarding maintenance needs; ensures timely response to requests.

    · Interfaces with appropriate hotel staff/managers, engineers and outside contractors to review and/or develop renovation and new construction plans; coordinated communication with and work of outside contractors.

    · Monitors and maintains proper inventory levels; authorizes purchase orders for supplies and equipment.

    · Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies corrected; ensures property is in compliance with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations.

    · Supervises and assists staff in maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings and property as needed.

    · Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of city and state building codes, OSHA requirements, and ADA laws; implements OSAH and ADA guidelines and programs.

    · Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skills.

    · Develops, implements, and monitors department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.

    · Prepares accurate and timely reports as required.

    · Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops marketing staff; manages schedules and workflow.

    · Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.

    · Provides day-today guidance and oversight of subordinates actively works to promote and recognize performance.
