Summary
Carter Hospitality has an excellent opportunity for engaging, experienced Assistant Controller for our Orange County office. The successful candidate should be a motivated self-starter who is energetic and able to work in a fast paced organization. Seeking a candidate with experience in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for monthly financial statements
Assist with the day to day accounting operations for multiple locations of A/R, A/P, payroll, revenue reporting to ensure continuing quality of services. Researching and resolving accounting issues
Support the financial Controller in the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and property reports
Ensuring compliance with the key controls over financial reporting
Ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a timely basis
Handle multiple bank reconciliations
Cash flow management
Assist the Controller in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts
Annual audit and quarterly review coordination and support
Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, inventories, property assets and payroll
Preparation of regular financial reporting and analysis and managing the monthly close process for multiple properties
Requirements include but are not limited to the following:
B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
3 years of industry accounting experience in Real Estate, Retail and/or Construction
Must be proficient with computer system, and Microsoft Office, Excel. and M3
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
