    ESSENTIAL PURPOSE: This position serves as a cashier/sales associate for the Tasting Room and Gift Shop.

    Welcome guests, provide assistance and answer any questions

    Effectively and accurately manage customer transactions, both cash and credit card payments

    Answer the department phone and check voicemail throughout the day and respond as needed

    Maintain a clean work area

    Provide assistance with inventory as needed

    Performs other duties as assigned by manager

    JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCAITON LEVELS: Prior experience in a fast paced, customer service/hospitality industry is preferred. Cash Handling experience. Knowledge of point of sales systems. Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills required. Must have a personable, friendly and enthusiastic personality. Must show versatility, flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

    SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work with little supervision. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.

    IMPACT OF DECISION: Decisions directly impact the tasting room’s ability to provide guests with attractive and clean areas. Poor decisions may result in guest dissatisfaction and loss of revenues, due to inefficient or improper work, unsafe work practices, or improperly handled customer service situations.

    GENERAL: Must comply with the Company’s Appearance and Dress Code policy as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

    JOB CLASSIFICATION: This position is classified as non-exempt and, upon completion of the Introductory Period, the employee is eligible for the Employee Benefits outlined in the Employee Handbook.
