SUMMARY: Carter Creek Winery Resort & Spa is currently hiring Tasting Room Wine Servers to provide a pleasurable wine tasting experience and assist customers through tastings, educate guests about our wines and Carter Creek brand, assist with wine club memberships and wine sales and work events. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays. TABC and Food Handler certifications must be obtained/current upon hire and maintained for duration of employment.

PAY: Averages $25.00/hour based on hourly + gratuities/commissions. Associates receive a $2.00/hour stipend for weekend work and are eligible for wine club and bottle sales commissions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Prepare designated bar for daily wine tasting and conduct tastings with guests guiding them on their selections and educating them about the varietals and styles of wine

Maintain the cleanliness of the counter areas, sinks and shelves at all times

Maintain honesty and integrity in the pouring of wines and ensure all tasting tickets are marked off appropriately

Alert bar backs when wine inventory is running low

Date all newly opened bottles and discard as instructed by management

Attend outside wine pouring events as required

Promote the sale of Carter Creek wine and Wine Club membership

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Stands and walks short to moderate distances through shift. Bends, stoops, and reaches to perform routine job tasks. Routinely required to handle and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. over moderate distances.
