    South Coast Winery Resort & Spa is seeking an experience Income Audit/Account Payable Clerk. Hotel/Resort experience a plus

    Some essentials duties include:

    Assists with the management of all accounting functions including but not limited to General Cashier, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit and journal entry posting.

    General Cashier

    Reconcile all cash postings for Resort and prepare Daily Cash Over/Short Report.

    Control the main cash vault for issuing change and perform audits on individual cash banks

    Audit all paid outs, petty cash, cash variance notifications for proper explanation and signature.

    Accounts Payable

    Responds to vendor inquiries regarding invoice payment.

    Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.

    Reviews vendor statements and requests invoice and credit memo copies when necessary.

    Reviews approved invoices, check requests and employee reimbursements for accurate coding and enters them for payment processing.

    Accounts Receivable (as backup/support for the Staff Accountant)

    Assist with credit card reconciliation, guest inquiry management, chargebacks and similar credit related functions.

    Income Audit

    Complete the Daily Revenue Report for all outlets and investigate/identify variances.

    Review Room Statistics to ensure valid data (ADR)

    Review all revenue department reports to ensure accurate reporting of revenues and statistics.

    Participate in month-end closing process as directed.

    Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent or Two to four years of related experience or equivalent. Two years of experience in hospitality accounting. Two years of cash handling experience.

    SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Learns quickly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Courteous and friendly manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively in a fast paced environment with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable. Clean DMV record.
