Carter Hospitality is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our two renowned winery resorts in Temecula, California to even higher levels of service excellence and financial performance.
ABOUT US: Carter Hospitality is a nimble family-owned LLC which operates a national portfolio of hotels, resorts, and wineries. Our California properties include Carter Estate Winery & Resort, and South Coast Winery Resort & Spa. These are located in the heart of the Temecula Valley’s exquisite wine country, surrounded by thousands of acres of rolling hillside vineyards. As General Manager you will help devise and implement creative business strategies, and guide, lead, and mentor a team of experienced hospitality managers.
ABOUT YOU: You are an accomplished leader in the hospitality industry, with years of varied experience with resorts and high service orientation organizations. You have spent years cultivating your leadership skills, and are ready to take your talents to the next level. You have experience with F&B operations, fine dining, banquets, retail operations, spas, group business, and special events. You are familiar with facilities and engineering operations. You are adept at supporting all Sales/Marketing efforts, and are always ready to serve as an ambassador for the venues. You are outgoing, with an infectious passion for hospitality, and enjoy interacting with guests. You love engaging with associates, and have a proven track record of developing positive workplace culture. You hold yourself and your team accountable, and you lead by example. You’re flexible and adaptable, and are a creative problem solver. You keep abreast of industry trends, and are involved in relevant industry and management organizations. You have excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation. You keep executive leadership apprised of all key information and critical events. While you may not be a sommelier, you do enjoy fine wines and dining. You have a demonstrated track record of sound financial management, and understand all critical hospitality KPI’s and financial processes. You can develop forecasts and manage annual and monthly budgets. You have a proven track record of effective staffing/scheduling and managing productivity under California law. You care about your team. You’re a guiding hand on the career path of others; a helpful coach, and an inspiring mentor.
