JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Dining Room Assistant ensures that the restaurant and bar area are clean and presentable at all times, creating a welcoming environment for our guests to enjoy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Sets tables per company standards
Cleans tables of china, silverware and glassware when guest leaves
Assists the servers in cleaning tables throughout the guest's meal period
Assists the servers with stocking of silverware and glassware
Provides ice to the bar and server area ice wells
Cleans floors throughout the restaurant and service area, as required
Cleans and maintains buffet area ensuring stocked with china, silverware, condiments, etc. as per restaurant standard
Resets restaurant and bar area at the end of every shift to be ready for the next shift
Assists in cleaning dishes, as required
Assists in keeping the kitchen area clean
Takes out all trash throughout the shift
Assist hostess as required greeting and seating guests
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
Must be able to pass required state food safety certification requirements
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (i.e. drug test, background check, etc)
Must have full availability and be able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Ability to read, write and speak English (multi-lingual a plus)
Ability to understand, follow and give written and oral instructions
Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
Ability to interact with guests and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
Ability to work harmoniously with fellow employees and guests
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Follow all company policies and procedures
Thank guests with genuine appreciation
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 25 lbs
Ability to (<8 hours per day) walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
Ability to frequently immerse hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures
