    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Drives the development of product definition and solution plans to optimize the company's products and services portfolio within the Robotics market. Applies broad knowledge of company's product/service capabilities and competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product/service opportunities. Collaborates with research and development to create products and validate early product definitions. This position is both strategic and technical in nature and requires extensive industry experience

    • Drive and launch key new products in the Robotics market, using coordination and project management skills to bring together required inputs, activities and tasks from various departmental stakeholders.
    • Specifying requirements for current and future products by conducting stakeholder research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
    • Actively engaging with cross functional teams and collaborating with development to ensure that solutions are efficient, consistent and fulfill stakeholder business needs.
    • Develop and define product road map and strategy, driving product messaging, positioning, differentiation and value proposition.
    • Constantly work within the industry to understand and develop innovative products that define the next generation of world class products within the market.
    • Working with the Product Life-cycle Coordinator in researching and identifying emerging new products and technology trends to gain competitive advantage.
    • Actively build business relationships with potential customers, partners and industrial organizations. Participate in appropriate trade shows and conferences.
    • Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
    • In conjunction with the Divisional Marketing teams, develop go-to market strategies for all products.
    • Attendance during regular work hours and overtime as required.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; or equivalent; business, marketing, or commensurate experience. PRINCE or other project management related qualifications

    EXPERIENCE:  

    • 5 to 7 Yrs. of product development, preferably for industrial equipment.  Knowledge of products within the commercial building industry especially mezzanine decking systems would be preferable.  
    • Excellent project management with proven ability to deliver.
    • Must be an individual contributor as well as a team player with ability to work within a team to meet goals, build and maintain positive work relationships and follow through to be sure that deadlines are met, and success/failures are identified.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    • Strong English language skills but the ability to speak a second European language would be advantageous
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel. CRM, ERP systems. 2D & 3D AutoCAD/ (Tekla, Adobe Captivate, Web Based Authoring Tools).
