Staff / Tax Accountant and Senior Staff / Tax Accountant – North Carrollton/West Plano

We are seeking a Staff / Tax Accountant and a Senior Staff / Tax Accountant to round out our team. Responsibilities:
· Preparation of individual, corporation, and partnership income tax returns.
· Preparation of accountants’ prepared financial statements, financial analysis, and assessment for tax planning purposes, and preparation of tax projections.
· Preparation of sales tax returns, payroll and payroll tax return filings.
· Working closely with firm principals to support client consulting engagements, financial analyses, and project assignments.
· Small business accounting review/cleanup to support tax return preparation.
· Working directly with clients to provide accounting support to in-house staff, reconciling bank statements, maintaining General Ledger postings, maintaining depreciation schedules, payroll reconciliation, and related tasks.
· Correspondence with IRS for resolution of tax issues.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting
· CPA candidate preferred but not required
· Staff Position requires a minimum of 1 year solid experience in income tax preparation
· Senior Staff Position requires a minimum of 3 years experience in income tax preparation
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
· Operational experience in QuickBooks and/or other accounting software
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong time management and multi-tasking ability
· Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
· Desire to learn through hands on immersion in tax and accounting work
In addition to a competitive salary and benefits package, we pay a bonus to compensate for overtime hours worked during tax season. We also work a reduced schedule in the summer months with Friday afternoons off from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
