Position Overview: As the Inventory Manager at CarTronics, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, developing inventory control procedures, and coaching staff on proper inventory management practices. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and organization of our inventory, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies to optimize our operations. Responsibilities: Daily Responsibilities: • Check in all incoming deliveries and reconcile quantities with packing slips. • Input received inventory into the POS system accurately. • Ensure access to the stockroom is restricted to authorized personnel. • Maintain organization and proper storage of inventory in the main warehouse. • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies reported by staff in collaboration with Store Managers and General Operations Manager. Weekly Responsibilities: • Conduct semi-weekly store transfers to satellite locations around Nashville, adhering to transfer policies and procedures. • Perform regular cycle counts at all 4 store locations. • Verify proper receipt of store transfers and adherence to inventory procedures by staff. • Maintain organization and proper storage of inventory in satellite store locations. • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies reported by staff at satellite locations. Monthly Responsibilities: • Coordinate cycle count activities at all stores and investigate variances. • Provide ongoing training and enforcement of Inventory Control Policies and Procedures. • Supervise the request of return authorizations (RA) and return warranty merchandise to vendors according to policies. Yearly Responsibilities: • Coordinate full physical inventory counts for all store locations annually. • Plan and execute store physical inventories with changes in management. • Reconcile physical inventory counts. Theft Prevention: • Foster a culture of theft prevention and vigilance among staff. • Maintain awareness of store surroundings and report suspicious activities to General Management promptly. Qualifications: Requirements: • Previous experience in inventory management or related fields is preferred but not required. • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and leadership abilities. • Flexibility to work varying hours and weekends as needed. Compensation: $20 hourly
