Head of Marketing - Gaming Industry
Our client is a bold new game studio with a mission to build cutting-edge AAA entertainment for the 21st century. The founders are veterans in the online games, social games, and crypto fields. They seek a Marketing Lead to own the company’s communications, PR, and community development initiatives, as well as preparing for a few Kickstarter-like campaigns for the sale of digital items, the first one of which will take place in June on NiftyGateway.
***This is a remote position that can be performed from anywhere in the world.
The Ideal candidate
· Understands modern social media marketing including streamers and influencers
· Existing relationships with top gaming influencers and magazines
· Has strong relationships with top and trending gaming influencers
· Deep knowledge of game genres especially action RPG
· Experience with large dollar ad campaigns
· Experienced giving pitches and demos
· Metric-driven approach to user acquisition
· Strong public speaking skills
Responsibilities
· Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising, and promotional staff and activities
· Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products
· Execute tactically on growth, owning metrics and analytics, SEO, social media reach, influencer relationships, ad buys, and LTV optimization
· Help design and launch a Kickstarter-like campaign for the sale of digital items, the first one of which will take place in mid-June
· Develop strategies and tactics to boost the company’s reputation and drive qualified traffic
· Own the creation and delivery of a AAA marketing experience, including company brand communications, GTM plan, customer and market research, PR, and community development
· Deploy successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution
· Work with Product to distill and communicate the unique selling points for their game and platform
· Experiment with various organic and paid acquisition channels
· Analysis of customer research, current market conditions, and competitor information
Requirements
· 5 years minimum hands-on experience as a Marketing Lead
· Strong understanding of cryptocurrency
· Solid understanding of online & free-to-play marketing strategies
· Strong copywriting skills
· Must love games
