    CSG is in search of a Technology Licensing Associate with a BIOTECH focus to work on the Life Science team within a Boston based University’s Technology Transfer and Patent office. This candidate MUST have B.A. or B.S. degree in the life sciences or biomedical fields and an M.S. is preferred.

    Outstanding opportunity for exposure to major areas of technology licensing and to work along side leading scientists, entrepreneurs, and patent attorneys evaluating and exploring commercial opportunities

     

    This role will assist in drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements including confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, joint invention agreements and license agreements. The position will establish and maintain the entries for technologies in a comprehensive intellectual property, contractual, and financial database, and will communicate this information to teams inside and outside of the TT office.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Detail oriented person who thrives in an environment that encourages critical thinking and enjoys working independently in a strategic but collaborative setting.
    • B.A. or B.S. degree in the life sciences or biomedical fields required.
    • M.S. preferred.
    • High-level organizational skills and good judgment with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are required.
    • 1-2 years of experience in university or corporate technology transfer a plus.
    • Basic understanding of the patenting process and experience reading technology focused contracts.
    • Strong Microsoft Office and databases a must.
    • Outstanding written and oral skills with the ability to quickly communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly is vital.
    • Self- starter, complete multiple assignments despite interruptions, have strong intellectual curiosity, and an interest in clarifying and simplifying complexity.
    • Strong priority setting and proofing skills needed.
