  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Prepare paperwork for new admits, PHP/ IOP, TMS and or Continuing care/Aftercare patients. __ Track recurring payments for patients and provide invoice/receipts per transaction.
    • Calendar and track all payments for follow-up including co-insurance, renewed authorized days, boarding fees, re-verifying benefits, COBRA conversion, upcoming insurance termed date etc.
    • Provide support for getting signed paperwork from guarantor on account, via DocuSign or in-person meeting. _Contact guarantor for payment information if not present at the time the patient admits. _
    • Run daily credit card transactions including incidentals, ancillary services, Private room/ extra sessions and pt responsibility.
    • Track down declined credit cards for current and discharged patients.
    • Top priority will be to run VOBs, then review VOB and patient responsibility with new admits and answer financial inquiry regarding step down – board fee or co-insurance fees.
    • Scan financial paperwork to P drive and save in financial folder/ Update trackers created for other dept (such as: incidental spreadsheet, TMS tracker, VA tracker and etc.)
    • Provide appropriate paperwork to 4Front Rx Pharmacy.
    • Ensure billing department remains informed about outstanding balance and update DBH billing dept.
    • Communicate with department and DBH billing dept on all potential or ongoing billing issues.

     

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Associate's degree or above, preferred
    • 2+ years’ experience as an Insurance Verification and Patient Billing
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to handle patients, staff and visitors based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning on.
