    SUMMARY

    To perform technical or professional tasks in order to support and improve the overarching goals of the department through experience and skill.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Triage and resolve an incident or problem and respond in timely manner
    • Review and prioritize incidents and problems based on business requirements
    • Able to find solutions based on previous cases and/or knowledge base
    • Take ownership of user incidents/problems, triage, diagnose and fix or work to determine next level of support required.  
    • Communicate with end user with progress, resolution in a timely manner
    • Document issue, process, resolution and correspondence in Incident management system
    • Analyze user needs to determine accurate cross functional requirements 
    • Guide users on troubleshooting their own issues where applicable
    • Study and Configure new functionality of existing application offerings
    • Participate in setup and roll-out of new applications offerings
    • Provide cross functional knowledge to support system design
    • Create Functional Specifications 
    • Demonstrate good customer communication skills in relation to service desk services and projects 
    • Develop test scripts for production change control management 
    • Facilitate end user training 
    • Assist in kaizen activities

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    May train or direct work of lower level employees, but does not supervise other employees

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree and typically 3 – 6 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    Must have proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, and Access, and PowerPoint. Ability to perform basic Internet research is also preferred.    

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Must be able to fluently speak, write and read in English. Ability to read, write legibly and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to complete difficult assignments.                                                                                     

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience and ability Demonstrate working knowledge of Oracle E1 integration relationships and master data structure required
    • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of JDA/RP processes, relationships and data instructor
    • Ability to clarify customer expectations and define deliverables
    • Ability to create, validate, and maintain end user reports 
    • Ability to create end user documentation to be used as reference or training material 
    • Prefer 5-7 years of experience with E1. 
    • Prefer experience with JDA/RP
