    WESTWOOD PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, INC. is seeking a Subcontracting Manager to join our team in our Minneapolis, MN office. The Subcontracting Manager will manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects of subcontracting work at Westwood. The subcontracting manager will be responsible for working with project managers, Legal team, executives, clients and other stakeholders to implement and ensure correct application of Westwood subcontracting requirements. The subcontracting manager will also train new project managers, be involved in process improvement for subcontracting processes, and maintain a database of subcontractor information.   Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. 

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Serve as subject matter expert and liaison between Westwood’s Legal and Business Operations teams to manage and implement Westwood’s subcontracting process. • Work with project managers as they go through the subcontracting process to ensure it is done timely and correctly according to Westwood Process requirements • Maintain database of Westwood subcontractors including Master Service Agreements, current insurance certificates, W9’s, Master Service Agreements, standard work order forms, etc. • Review prime agreements, Westwood - client agreements, and Westwood subcontracting agreements to ensure subcontractor alignment with insurance, safety, W9s, business registration, Westwood entity, etc. • Perform training for project managers on the subcontracting process • Provide process improvement recommendations to Legal and Business Operations teams, and implement changes to processes • Coordinate with Legal team on terms and conditions reviews • Coordinate with Market Leaders and Operations Leader to understand differences between prime, client and subcontracting agreements and risks associated with variances

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in professional service field, business, law, insurance, construction, or similar applicable fields. Prefer 5 years of experience working in a similar role in a similar industry. • Advanced understanding of insurance requirements and risk associated when insurance requirements vary • Ability to work with minimum supervision and with several different teams at once • Proficient understanding of professional service agreement standards (such as engineering, surveying, construction) and ability to review and communicate contractual requirements • Experience with using industry standard contract management systems. • Understanding of Request for Proposals (RFPs) within the professional service industry. • Experience in risk identification and management • Excellent negotiation skills, communication (written and verbal) skills
