RIDES AND EVENTS PROGRAM MANAGER
Cascade Bicycle Club is seeking a self-motivated experienced event planner to serve as the next RIDES AND EVENTS PROGRAM MANAGER. This position will serve this dynamic, well-established, and respected organization by demonstrating a passion for bicycling and for growing the influence and impact in pursuing the organization’s mission.

Cascade Bicycle Club, the nation’s largest statewide bicycle nonprofit, is 8,900-members, 51-years-old, and 26-staff strong, serving bike riders of all ages and abilities throughout the state of Washington. We teach the joys of bicycling, advocate for safe places to ride, and produce community rides and events. Our signature programs include the Seattle to Portland ride, the Pedaling Relief Project, advocacy for connected trail networks and on-street bike networks in Seattle, and across the Puget Sound Region, Advocacy Leadership Institute, Free Group Rides, Adult Classes, Let’s Go, and the Major Taylor Project.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
The Rides and Events Program Manager is an integral part of the six person Events Team, reporting to the Rides and Events Community Director. The Rides and Events Program Manager is responsible for producing fundraising rides and events that work directly towards Cascade Bicycle Club’s mission.
Core responsibilities include:
● Event Production & Support (70%)
○ Manage all the logistics for 3 Cascade major events: Flying Wheels, STP and RSVP
○ Act as a secondary contact/major support on event producer’s events: Emerald City Ride, Chilly Hilly and Kitsap Color Classic
○ Check and change as needed event routes. Submit all necessary permits with local and government agencies
○ Manage the event spending budget set by the Director
○ Provide onsite support as needed at other Cascade events
● Relationship Management (20%)
○ Manage event support teams, volunteers and event committees
○ Maintain positive relationships with communities, businesses and all entities associated with events
● Event Collateral & Marketing (10%)
○ Oversee design and production of ride materials and giveaways and ensure that printing and ordering deadlines are met.
○ Develop and update content for Cascade’s website
○ Create content for all pre- and post- event messaging
The RIDES AND EVENTS PROGRAM MANAGER is an experienced, hardworking team player, willing to pitch in wherever necessary. They are able to maintain multiple timelines and ready to find the solution to unpredicted problems that crop up on a daily basis. In this position you must be able to lift 30 lbs. and the physical ability to manage long hours of manual labor. Time management and flexibility is a key attribute for the position, as the diversity of work varies greatly and may change quickly.
This position is FULL-TIME EXEMPT. Employees are currently working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When it is safe to do so, the organization will resume operations out of its office in Magnuson Park. Some weekend and evening work may be required. Typical weekly hours for this position are 40 hours.
Commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, the salary ranges from $55,000 TO $65,000 per annum together with a competitive benefits package.
